Quotes
A small collection of things I've taken the time to write down after saying.
When asked for advice from a friend:
"You shouldn't let this worry you. This kind of thing will fade away... or it won't. And it will become a life long debilitating issue, in which case you're really gonna have to do something about it and now. I don't know which one it's gonna be, man."
When talking about recurring, bad dreams:
"Maybe if life wasn't torture while I was awake, I wouldn't mind being tormented while I slept."
When discussing how I was getting along toward my life goals:
"I want to. I need to. But I won't."
When describing how another plan of mine ended in catastrophic failure:
"I'm worse than a moron. I don't just blindly stumble into traps. I spend a week building an elaborate trap, look it over and feel proud about how good of a job I've done, only to stick my own foot in it, and then act surprised when I end up caught."
A re-purposing of one of the greatest quotes of all time:
"My kingdom for a [spouse]."
