Obligatory One Year Post

To the very few of you that will see this:

Thank you

Thanks for being here with me. It's hard to believe it's been a whole year of posts. I went through waves of having a dozen posts in inventory at a time to weeks where I didn't write anything. I'm grateful for the small web. I'm thankful that there was a chance for people to discover me. My single digit readership never really discouraged me. I was happy to see even one like on a post.

But now, the path ahead is questionable at best. It seems as though there are greater forces at work. I know I'm not the main character of the universe. I know I'm not that important in the grand scheme of things. So when I saw the post at the top of the Trending tab was about blocking blogs that are politically charged (but not in the right way), my heart sank when I considered that it might have been aimed at me. With a bit of testing, I came to the conclusion that, whether or not it was, I have been affected.

If you're reading this, then you likely got here on your own. You check my blog manually, or by some means other than via the Discover tabs. And while I am tremendously thankful that you're here, it's sad to think that you will likely be the only readers from here on out.

But don't let my sombre tone fool you. I will continue posting. Sometimes mundane stuff, sometimes serious things. I've had conversations with a handful of people via email and for that I'm beyond grateful. I never imagined such a thing would be possible when I started a year ago.

So thanks again. If you enjoyed my posts this past year, please feel free to reach out via my Contact page. And I guess if you think I deserve to be discovered, share links to my posts where you can.

Yours Truly,
