Hello world.
First post and I already feel like I owe an explanation as to how I got here. I'm a [redacted] by trade, so not too unfamiliar with technology, but I've grown to have negative opinions of all things "big tech-y" as time has gone on. I recently discovered gemini/gopher and while perusing the sites there, came across a reference to this bear site. Thought it was endearing and here I am.
I also saw a post here recently basically goading me into making a page. Truthfully, I'd been considering making a site of my own for some time (more to come in later posts) and I suppose that was the impetus I needed to commit.
