No Need

Recently, I came across Obsidian⤻, a note taking app. I think someone might have mentioned it in a post here and then I found out that a creator I highly recommend⤻ uses Obsidian as well⤻.

Ok side note here, this guy is fantastic. Good, clean, succinct reporting. Every day. He's physically in the USA, so only really deals with "local" matters there, but has solid coverage of global/international happenings. Sorry, back to the main point here...

And it's really neat. Which brings me to my title: I want to use something like this, but I have no need for it. I currently have some notes (more like just a journal) in a .txt file saved to my computer. When I feel like making an entry, I open my text editor of choice and type away. If I need to find something, I try to remember a word I used in the entry and just CTRL+F for it.

I don't do research. I don't have any academic pursuits. I just live my life, currently with no desire to write notes. I've heard that writing notes is a good habit to have, but I can't imagine it ever becoming part of my life. Notes about what? If you're a regular person (meaning not a content creator/academic researcher/etc) who lives a regular life and YOU make use of Obsidian (or some other related note taking app), I'd be interested to hear what you use it for. Feel free to reach out to me via the email on my Contact page.

Yours Truly,
